ABOUT ME
- Currently (February 2025), I am beginning the sixth semester of journalism at Louisiana State University (LSU) while working as a sports reporter for the university’s television station (Tiger TV), with very clear goals. I want to appear on TV talking about sports.
- After spending long hours watching television, especially sports programs, I discovered my greatest passion: journalism, specifically in sports. I have been running this website for five years now, where I write about the topics that interest me most in the world of sports. Alongside this page, I have an Instagram account, @santiagorodriguezarana, where I upload what I consider the most important content from the same field on a daily basis.
- I worked as an intern at Hiper Producciones, Ines Sainz company. There, I was a scriptwriter for an internal communications program for Totalplay and had the opportunity to write scripts that aired during coverage of the Super Bowl and Mexican National Team matches.
- I graduated from High School at John F. Kennedy The American School of Querétaro, where I studied most of my life. In my first year of high school, I did an exchange year in Nuremberg, Germany. I speak a good level of English, as I started learning it at a young age and had the chance to attend camps in the United States and Canada to further improve my skills. At JFK, I had the opportunity to be part of the TEDxYouth@JFKQRO event, where I gave my first TED Talk about following your dreams in English. Here’s the link if you’d like to watch it. - I understand that the process will be long and complicated, but I believe I have the ability and the drive to achieve my dream. I am deeply passionate about the media, not just sports, but storytelling and live television in general. My true dream is to tell the great achievements that happen in sports.
